Thanksgiving Pomegranate Salad and Turkey Table Decorations

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday!

Christmas is great, as is every other holiday, but any holiday focused on food is just for me!

Since I love thanksgiving so much, I wanted to share my favorite Thanksgiving recipe with you.

Pomegranate Salad

Pomegranate salad is a family recipe we have been serving at Thanksgiving for many years. To make this you will need:

2 pomegranates peeled, seeds separated and placed in large bowl

4 golden delicious apples

1/2 cup sugar

2 T corn starch

2 cups orange juice

1 package of Whipping Cream

Step 1: Slice your apples into small bite size pieces and add to pomegranates.

Step 2: Mix sugar and corn starch in a small sauce pan.Place on medium heat. Add orange juice and cook until thickened. Stir continuously until desired consistency is reached. Remove from heat. Let sauce cool and pour over your pomegranates and apples. Stir together.

Step 3: Top with Whipping Cream

My eldest was happy to help with pomegranate peeling.

We had red apples, so that’s what we used!

All done!

Turkey Table Decorations

These adorable Turkey Table Decorations are so simple to make and will complete any Thanksgiving table. To make these you will need:

4-16 Pinecones. You can make a turkey for each family member or place a few on the table.

Glitter of your desired color.

Elmer’s Glue

Turkey head’s from Michael’s (you can find these in the thanksgiving section)

One package of colorful feather’s

Step 1: Begin these creations by gluing the feather to the back of your pine cone with Elmer’s glue. We placed three feather’s at the back of each turkey.

Step 2: Spread a layer of the glue across the top of your pine cone. Sprinkle desired glitter on top of the layer of glue.

Step 3: Place glue on the bottom of your turkey head. Place the turkey head in the middle of your pine cone.

Step 4: Let the glue on your turkey dry. Marvel in your creation.

Happy Thanksgiving, my friends! I hope it is a wonderful day for all.
