Pomegranate Salad

2 pomegranates

2-3 golden delicious apples

1/2 c. sugar

2 Tbsp. cornstarch

2 c. orange juice

1 pint whipping cream (optional)

Mix sugar and cornstarch in a small sauce pan.  Add orange juice and cook until thickened.  While the sauce cools, peel pomegranates and slice apples into bite size pieces.  Place in bowl and add orange sauce.  Used whipped cream for topping, if desired.

We always make this for Thanksgiving dinner, in the top right corner.
